It saddens me learn that a friend and neighbor that I grew up with has passed away.  We lived a few doors away and I could always see the activity at the Armstrong family home.  

Sincere condolences to the friends and family.  I wish I were in town; unfortunately I found out about your loss while I was in NC.  Rest in peace.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and ours.  Sharon was one of those "larger than life" people who you can't forget.  As a her co-worker for 27 years at SSA I enjoyed her warmth of personality and generous good spirits that made you glad to be around her.  Silly memory: one evening there was a tornado in Woodlawn and Sharon and I spent an hour in the enclosed hallway downstairs waiting for Dorothy and Toto to come swirling by. I'm sorry my post-operative inability to drive made me miss the funeral and tribute.  God bless you Sharon!

To all of Sharon's family: My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.  Sharon and I went through a very sad and traumatic experience together that involved our friend Arnold.  Although it was a very sad time, I can’t think of anyone else that I would have rather have been with than Sharon.  She was very supportive and called me a few times just to see how I was doing.  David was right when he said that the one thing that Sharon wasn’t was selfish – she always put others first.  She was truly a wonderful person, enjoying life as it came and always putting a positive spin on everything.  I consider myself lucky to have known her.

I want to say thanks for always being the good hearted wonderful loving woman you were, I was so proud of you with your willingness and strength to fight against this horrible disease, it takes a strong willed person to achieve this. And this was you. 
I want to thank all of you which helped sharon through these tough times, from day 1 till June 19 th. ESPECIALLY...Wendy, Nancy, Mike, David, and everyone who helped in any way they could, thank you from the bottom of my heart..
Your time, and determination to make her pull through even when times were tough, and I know this was tough on all of you as well, never showing it, just determined.. again thanks...
Sharon, I thank you for all the time we shared, the memories, the knowledge, the fact that you never judged people by there character, being good or bad, you inspired myself and many others in so many ways, your the reason 66 th street beach exist, these memories will never ever be forgotten, never....

I became friends with Sharon back in 1974.  She was in my SSA programming class.  I knew right away that she was special. She was always encouraging that we could make it through the class and earn the big bucks. She always mentioned her little boy "Jay." She was so proud of him.  I just can't believe that she has left us.  I still saw her from time to time at Pebbles.  That smile was incredible.  Sharon.. be with God and help us through this life so that your family can be with you once again.  My deepest sympathy to the Boarman & Armstrong Families.

My sister Sharon made all of us better people by knowing her. Kind, caring, compassionate, and always with a sunny disposition. We all loved her dearly and will miss her terribly.  An angel was amongst us..

I first met Sharon at St. Mark's Elementary School in the 3rd grade. She was the
sweetest girl in my class. We shared many more classes together over the years.
I remember spending many summer days at 5 Oaks Pool with her, lots of CYO
Friday nights in the court yard and birthday parties during our years at school.
We attended different high schools and lost touch but I will always remember
her beautiful smile. Sharon was not only a truly genuine friend but she was smart

I worked closely with Sharon at SSA in the 1970's.  In the 30 years since, I've been lucky enough to see her and talk to her periodically.  Sharon wasn't just a nice person... she went out of her way to be nice to everyone.  A more pleasant and considerate soul I've never met. Like everyone who ever knew her, I admired her greatly, and will miss her.

Sharon, you were the quintessential sunny beach girl, my big sister at work, my volleyball teammate, my friend for 25 years.  We shared a cubicle wall for 13 of those years.  Big parts of you rubbed off on me and for that alone I was so very blessed to have known you.  I will miss you for the rest of my days ... you'll always be the sand between my toes, the sound of the waves, and and warm sunshine on my face.  Love you forever.  v.

It was a pleasure knowing Ms. Sharon all these years.  You were loved more than you know and will be missed just as much.  Thank you for always making our family feel part of your family.

I worked with Sharon for many years.  I always remember her as one of the most upbeat people that I had met.  She always seemed to be able to "make lemonade from lemons".
