Sharon had resided at "A New Start" Assisted Living in Baltimore Maryland for the last two and a half years. As her loved ones gathered in her final days they did so both in person and by phone to encourage her peaceful transition from this life to the next. Those who knew her well knew Sharon was undaunted in her beliefs and faith in God and Heaven.
Sharon was born on Monday February 21, 1949 to John Tormollan Sr. and Catherine Marie (Vuotto) Cosden. She was the beloved third born in the family of five. Sharon was predeceased by her loving parents as well as by her step mother Marguerite Elizabeth (Farace) Cosden, step brother Andrew Leroy Phillips, her much admired sister Catherine Marie (Cosden) Rauser, and sister-in-law Judith Ann (Drager) Cosden, two nephews Joffrey Raphael Wolf and Christopher Mark Simmons, great nephew Nicholas Alexander Gounaris, as well as cherished longtime friend Eric Kuhnke.

She was an attentive and protective Mom Mom and GiGi to six grandchildren; Jessica, Gage, Ryan, and Andrew Kuchli and Ryan and Quade Kerr, and three great grandchildren Camryn and Caleb Soule, and James White. Sharon adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren in the years that she was able to share with them, especially when they were of age to join her in her endeavors at St. Joseph Monastery. Sharon was a teacher of the children’s Sunday School and instrumental in the production of the Christmas Eve Pageant for several years. Sharon is the treasured sister of John Tormollan Cosden Jr., Deborah Jean (Debbie) Hiltner (Don), Michele Colleen (Shell) Cosden, and sister-in-law of William (Bill) Rauser.
Sharon will be forever missed and remembered fondly by dozens of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews and as God Mother to many.
Sharon was loyal and committed in her relationships with cousins, friends, aunts, and uncles.
Sharon’s nursey and nurturing character never faded as she continued to mother and nurse and nurture and care for everyone she came in contact with.
Sharon discovered her calling early on as a young teenager when she eagerly joined the Bon Secours Hospital Health Care team as a "Pinky" after completing her eight years of Parochial Schooling through the Parish of her beloved Saint Joseph Monastery and at the start of her High School years at Our Lady of Pompei where she later graduated Class of 1967.
One of Sharon’s greatest Accomplishments in her nursing career may very well have been her time spent as an Admitting Nurse at The R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland. However Sharon excelled in Nursing everywhere she went including Saint Agnes Hospital, Baltimore County Hospital, and as a Case Manager for Project Plase.
In Sharon’s younger years she loved dancing. She particularly loved dancing to Motown, The Supremes, The Temptations, and Smokey Robinson and The Miracles. Sharon could be a bit mischievous and related herself and any one of a number of her Catholic Girlfriend "partners in crime" to the 1966 Movie "The Trouble With Angels". Sharon was energetic and funny she knew how to love and care and give amazing compliments.
Among her favorite old movies was also "White Christmas", which she enjoyed watching with her mother and years later with her daughter. That movie played several times over in the room where Sharon was preparing for the most important journey of her life on Christmas Eve. Her daughter even sang the lyrics to the songs of the movie while Sharon responded with facial expressions.
To look at Sharon you may not have seen material wealth, but to know Sharon you knew she was rich in spirit, heart, and soul.
