Shirley May Athas (nee Burk), age 89, of Catonsville, Maryland passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. She was the wife of the late James Athas. Beloved mother of Julie Johnson and husband Brian and Nick Athas and wife Mindy; beloved grandmother of James, Maddie and Jack Athas also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 7 siblings.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 pm at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Hanover Pike and Dover Rd, Upperco, MD 21155.
