I believe Mrs. Kenney may have been the kindest woman I have ever known.

For twenty years I resided in her apartment building. Some of those years were a struggle for me as I raised two children, completed graduate school. suffered illnesses and job losses. There were too many months when I was late with my rent. As I offered excuses and apologises Mrs Kenney would tell me not to worry. She could wait. She knew I would pay when I got the cash. She offered me comfort and security in some very dark times. I'm sure that without her generosity and profoundly gentle and loving kindness my life would have been much more difficult.

I will forever delight in the memory of Mrs. Kenney exclaiming. "Oh! when she was shocked or appalled by some event or behavior that she witnessed. I exclaim "oh" every day, almost as a tribute and with fond memories of her.

My deep sympathies to her lovely children and grandchildren. Your hearts must be breaking.

First and foremost, I would like to give my sincere condolences and send prayers to the entire Kenney family for their loss of their beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and acquaintances.

Virginia is the mother of one of best friends Eddie, who I've known since 1976, when myself and my family moved to the neighborhood on Overbrook Rd. in Catonsville, Md.

Ever since then, I was welcomed to the Kenney residence as if I was family.

And the many times of being around the family in the 40 + years of knowing the family, Virginia always treated me like her own son, her own child, her own family.

There will never be another quite like Mrs. Kenney, who we always affectionately and respectfully referred to her.

The Straley family sends their sincere condolences and are praying for you and your family at this most difficult time.

May God give you peace and strength...🙏🕇❤
