William Joseph Hunter

On April 9, 2017, William “Bud” Joseph Hunter of Catonsville passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones; Beloved husband of the late Anne Marie Hunter; Loving father of Anne Marie Willis, Patricia Birchess (Damian), Stephanie Hunter, Michael Hunter (Janet), and Brian Hunter (Rebecca); Cherished grandfather of Megan Willis, Catherine Hlubb, Jennifer Norfolk (Jason Brewster), Mary Jo Webb (Matas), Colleen Tindall (Trevor), Christine, Elizabeth, Caitlin, Brandon, and Kyle Hunter and great-grandfather of Austin and Anna Hlubb; Rhylinn, Lincoln and Ariana Webb; and Madelyn and Matthew Tindall; Dear brother of Mary “Betty” Roeder and her husband John; Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter Catherine Linn Hunter and his brothers J. Edwin Hunter and Paul L. Hunter

He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was passionate about hunting, his dogs and growing moon vines and tomatoes. His goal was always to get a tomato by July 4th. He was a big fan of Westerns and John Wayne movies. A favorite past time in recent years was sitting on his front porch listening to his music.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 2 to 4pm and 7to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 10:30AM, St. Mark’s Chapel, 30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. Interment Baltimore National Cemetery.
