There are not enough words to describe what my dad meant to me, but I do have a few. He was always there, no matter what.  As a child it was reading bed time stories (particularly One Monster After Another and The Little House and the Giving Tree), winding up all of my many music boxes before bed, going sledding, flying kites, getting slurpees, playing records, watching Doctor Who on Sunday mornings, Playing HORSE at my school basketball hoops,  riding the rides with me at Lakeside that mom would not ride, carving pumpkins at Halloween, putting up countless cardboard decorations for every holiday, renting movies (and even a VCR a time or two!), swimming at pools or going to Water World,  building a bird feeder, camping (which I disliked at the time but now immensely enjoy), playing every board game and making popcorn with cherry drink. As I got older, it was going to Rockies games, still playing records, vacations, going to antique stores, still going to Water World, helping when my car broke down, helping me go to and from college, helping, helping, helping. Before marrying, I wondered if I would find someone who was a good man like my dad.  Thankfully I finally did! I wanted so much more time with him. Wanted my girls to experience him the way I did. I hope in some part they did and will remember. Daddy, I will see you again, when my shoes are tired. 

Al was a good teammate and friend.  Every Christmas Al would bring me a gift, a calendar, book etc..  It was always something thoughtful that meant something to me, a personal event or subject I was interested in, that he gleaned from our conversations.  I was always moved by these gifts.
Al was a hard worker and took on several large projects for the team that made our daily work much easier.
Al, our other teammate Rich and me were all interested in music and talked about songs and artist.  We attended several concerts together and always had a great time.
Al our pal will be missed.  Rest in peace my friend,
My condolences to Linda and the family.  You and Al are in my thoughts and prayers.

I only met Al one time at the wedding and liked him right away, he was a great guy.

Alan (Al) has always been a part of my life. I must have been about two when my brother and he became friends. So he has been in my life forever and will leave a hole. We shared a lot of jokes over the years. His family and mine spent a lot of time together. I remember when we moved away from the "old" neighborhood into our new house on Kalamath and then discovered that the Czany's were building their new house right around the corner. How happy we were to still be neighbors. So many memories.
