i just found out today and am devastated. max and i went to upsala college together graduating in 1965 and both of us traveled west for law school. i didn't see max as much as i used to, maybe once every 4-5 months in some courthouse. he always had a smile on his face and a kind word. this was a man who loved his family beyond all measure and who enjoyed life every day. my heart goes out to his family. max will be sorely missed. chuck leidner

Max, Although I didn't know you until the last few years I felt we were close. You and Ellen were always so gracious and kind to me. I will always remember your great sense of humor and fun loving laugh. God has taken you too soon from us, but I guess he needed a top notch lawyer & fishing partner. Catch a big one for me Max, and while you're at it, put in good word for me. Not to worry Max Julie and I will look after Ellen for you.My heart felt condolences to Ellen and the family.
