My mother-in-law Jean Mares often spoke of her friend Alice. Cleaning out the basement today, I found cards from Alice to Jean. Our prayers are with you; may Alice's memory be eternal.

Alice was always special. Beginning with my earliest memory of her in the 1930s when she took my cousin Arlene and me to the creek running through 
their farm and surprised us with the
watermelons she had earlier left cooling in the running water. Ever since, seeing Alice was always a special occasion.

Alice was a good friend and co worker. She often took me to work and the retiree lunches. She was a wounderful lady and she will be missed. My thoughts and prayeers are with the family.

Alice was a very special lady.  We will miss not seeing her sitting on her patio and working in her yard.  We always enjoyed stopping and chatting with her when we were out walking. Our thoughts and prayers are with Charleen and family at this time.

I met Alice through my Aunt Connie and Uncle JIm. I cleaned Alice's house for many years and she was a wonderful, funny, kind lady, she had a heart of gold. She could be fisty at times but I always joked around with her. Going to miss her. My prayers and thoughts are with you Charlene and Fred.

With love to you Charlene, your mother was so kind in giving me a surprise shower with my mom. All Bates St. people, working with Alice on elections, making her chocolates. purchasing her Kiln, and all the love she had for me. Love and prayers, Mary Rita & Jim Hagan

I met Alice when I worked my first election in College View.  She was so patient and fun.  She taught me lots over the years.  When we moved away, she kept in touch.  I looked forward to the times she would drop in at the fabric store to say "Hi".  She was a lovely, gracious lady.  Kathleen Reeves (Denver)

I did not know Alice Pixler personally, but I do know her daughter Char.  I am certain that the devoted caring and love that Char showered on her Mom she learned from that very special lady.  From what Char has shared, she also gained incredible strength from her Mom that will see her through this very difficult time.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Char.

I will never forget the many wonderful crafts that Aunt Alice created over the years, many as gifts for the family. Her gardens were an amazing collection of beautiful flowers of all types; bountiful fruits & vegetables that were incredible. And she always made us a Christmas plate of her magically delicious concoctions. I feel so truly Blessed to have had her in my life, and that she was able to meet my wife, Yemy, who adored her despite knowing her but a short time. I am glad her suffering is over, and I know she has found Peace & Tranquility in the arms of our Lord. 

God Bless You, Aunt Alice....May You now rest in Eternal Peace.
