

She was born in New Rochelle, NY, on August 11, 1937.
After graduating from high school, she worked as a secretary at Ft Slocum in New York, where she met and fell in love with her future husband, Frederick (Fred) Meurer. They were married in 1960. Fred was an Air Force officer, and they lived in Texas, Okinawa, Washington, D.C., and Colorado.
Together they raised four children who will always remember her grace, warmth, humor, and steadfast love.
Amy’s greatest joy was caring for her family and nurturing those around her. She was generous and kindhearted. She was a talented pianist, an avid reader, a curious world traveler, an adept bridge player, and a lover of all things cultural. Although she loved the ocean and beach vacations, she also enjoyed the mountains of Colorado, especially Vail.
She is survived by her husband Fred Meurer of Loveland CO; her daughter Lisa Harris and husband John Harris of Loveland; her son Michael Meurer and partner Kelly Weber of Loveland CO; her daughter Andrea Chase of Denver CO; her son Mark Meurer of Aurora CO and her daughter-in-law Sandy Fitzgerald of Aurora CO; her grandchildren: Jennifer Harris of Basalt CO, Zachary Harris of Fontana CA, Caitlin Chase of Steamboat Springs CO, Julia Chase of Kingston MA and Cassandra Meurer of Aurora CO; great grandson: Theodore Chase-Buckley of Kingston, MA; sister Mary Ellen Yerger of Suffern, NY; Brother Michael Pisani and wife Rose of N. White Plains, NY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Pisani and Elizabeth Rocco Pisani, and granddaughter Ava Chase.
Those who knew Amy will remember her as a beautiful, talented, kind woman with a generous heart, a wonderful sense of humor and a remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved and special. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on through the love she shared and the laughter and strength she inspired.
