Drew grew up in Lexington, Kentucky and attended Sayre School and Henry Clay. Upon graduating from Purdue (Delta Tau Delta) he moved to Denver as a civil engineer where he also received an MBA from the University of Denver.
He was the son of Dr. Charles Kidder (Nancy) and Janet Toth Allen and the brother of Ben Kidder (Jill), Lexington. He has left behind his sons Ziggy, 16 and Linus, 14 who live with their mother in Denver. A special thank you to his dear friend Jessi Maxwell and Jamie Protopapa (Ryan), mother of Ziggy and Linus, who supported and cared for Andrew throughout his battle.

A memorial service for Andrew will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121.
