

He went to high school in Rockford, Illinois and after graduating he entered the seminary. After he left the seminary he began his teaching career in Rockford, Illinois. He then moved to Colorado and worked in the city of Montrose helping families through the Catholic church. Eventually moving to Denver where he met many important people in his life like Mary Helen Sandoval and Paul Sandoval and their family. And Father Jose Lara, who was important to him. He then continued teaching in the Denver Public School District. He became an assistant principal at Garden Place Elementary, then Sabin Elementary. He was promoted to principal at College View Elementary, where he led the construction of a new school. Then was the Principal at Bradley Elementary, where he started their International Baccalaureate program. He retired in 2006. He loved to spend time with family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling and cooking Italian food. Some of his hobbies included golfing, playing cards, entertaining, and hosting. In his retirement he decided to pursue his dream career of working for a mortuary and driving the coach. He worked there for 13 years.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lynelle Clausen and his two sons, Matthew and Michael Spataro. He is also survived by his two brothers and their wives; Jerry Spataro and his wife Linda and Frank Spataro and his wife Darlene. His parents were Jennie and Salvador.
