Ann was born on September 25, 1965 and adopted by William and Helen Kelly in New York. She married Paul Cahill in 1988 here at St Thomas More Catholic Parish and then went on to create a beautiful family that became her entire world. The last 30 plus years Ann worked as the equipment coordinator for The Wheelchair House, Adaptive Equipment Company and Craig hospital. She absolutely loved her job and everyone she worked with. Her job was everything to her. She had such passion for assisting the physically and mentally challenged. She even volunteered many hours and years with the local Super Kids Soap Box Derby Race. Ann had a servant’s heart of pure love and acceptance. She was so giving and so selfless. She put everyone, especially her family above everything, even herself. In her final years she fought a fight no one deserves to fight. She demonstrated inconceivable strength, courage and faith.
Ann’s favorite way to spend time with the Lord was in worship and singing. She spent many years serving in the choir, sharing her beautiful voice. She had a voice of an angel and sang loud and proud during mass.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents William and Helen Kelly. She is survived by her Husband, Paul Cahill, and three children, Kristina Thomas and her husband Nicolas Thomas, Melissa Geyer and her husband Dan Geyer, Joseph Cahill and her four grandchildren, Hunter Geyer, Prince Thomas and two TBA.
Ann’s service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at St Thomas More Catholic Parish at 11am. All are welcome. Reception to follow at Maggiano’s in DTC at 1pm. Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary will be handling all funeral arrangements. She will be placed in their beautiful cremation garden on a later date.
Thank you all for your continuous prayers for comfort and peace, especially during Ann’s fight. It gave her so much comfort knowing so many were asking the Lord to heal and bless her. She was most certainly surrounded by God’s presence. Thank you to Craig hospital for being such a huge part of Ann’s life. Being a part of such an amazing organization gave her so much joy and purpose.
Ann was an amazing wife, loving mother and a kind and jovial friend. Her spirit and light will be missed my many.
