Dear Family,
Ann was such a wonderful friend and a tremendous influence in my life especially when I was a young seminarian's wife and later in early days of pastoring. She taught me piano for a little while but taught me more about life than music during my lessons:). She and Vernon have been steady, godly mentors for our whole life and we miss them dearly. How glorious will be heaven when we're all together again. Our hearts are saddened for all of you but filled with joy at the sweet reunion of Ann and Vernon. We loved them both dearly. Thanks for sharing them with all of us.

My heart is so sad from hearing the news of Ann's homegoing. I know she and Dr. Grounds are enjoying being together once again in Heaven! God Bless those of you left behind, and be comforted by the fact that Vernon and Ann Grounds touched many many lives during the time they were with us here on earth!

I never had the privilege of hearing Ann play the piano, but I certainly enjoyed the time I spent with her has she shared her memories about life with Vernon and the opportunities and blessings she was afforded. I will truly miss her! God bless you each one as you adjust to the departure of Ann, who has been reunited with her beloved husband.

I vividly recall Ann playing "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder" at the funeral service for her friend Doris Lewis. Ann gave Doris a marvelous send-off, unleashing the keyboard's full power and energy. Now Ann's name has been called, and we can only imagine the grand music of her arrival in Heaven. Blessings on her wonderful family who accompanied her on the way.
