Tony was born on May 8, 1937, in Saint Paul, MN and later moved to Kooskia, ID where he spent much of his childhood. Tony was the second to youngest of 10 children. At the age of 12, Tony gave his life to Christ, beginning a lifelong passion and commitment to God and his faith. Tony's faith was a guiding light that shaped his character, he had a passion for sharing his faith with others.
As an adult Tony went on to join the Army Reserves and later the Air Force. While serving in the Air Force, Tony met the love of his life, Lornel. They had a loving and long lasting marriage of 61 years until his passing. Tony and Lornel raised three wonderful children together — one daughter and two sons.
After his military service, Tony worked the next 29 years at Jefferson County Schools, where he worked as a building engineer before retiring. Post retirement, the next many years he spent committed to his church, his family, sharing his faith and working in prison ministry. Tony held a deep love and appreciation for his mother as she was responsible for committing him to God. Tony will be remembered for his many stories, his love for cats, his wit, his constant faith, love for God and his family. He touched so many lives with his time on earth, he will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Lornel; his brother Dennis and his three children; and seven grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on June 11, 2026, at Riverside Church, 2401 Alcott St, Denver, Colorado 80211, followed by a reception at the Church.
A Committal Service & Military Honors will be at 1:30 pm on June 11, 2026, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado 80236.
