Anthony “Tony” Savageau, of Denver, Colorado, died in hospital Sunday afternoon, June 12, after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen "Parry" Savageau. Throughout their 34 years, they were ardent art collectors and international travelers.
Born in Denver, February 21, 1944, he was the son of the late Frederick Savageau and the late Mary Worland Savageau. He attended East Denver High School, and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder. For four decades, he was an independent field landman in the oil and gas industry.
Surviving are three brothers, David, of Washington, DC; Paul, of Centennial, CO; Stephen, of Walsenburg, CO; two nieces and one nephew; and grand nephews and niece. His dying has touched the hearts of us one and all.
Tony’s memorial service is set for Monday, June 27, at 10:00 a.m. graveside at Mount Olive Cemetery, 12801 West 44th avenue, in Wheat Ridge. Meet just inside the first gate next to the Mount Olivet Sign and we will be escorted to the gravesite. His family will much appreciate your presence there and that Tony will not go unremembered in your thoughts and prayers.
