Barbara was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Mary Eloise and Earl Gabel, on March 9, 1947 and moved to Casper, Wyoming to be raised by her divorced mother with her three brothers, George, Jim and Gary Gabel. She was a devoted wife to Larry, mother to Eric and grandmother to Addison and Cooper. She led a very active life and loved to square dance, camp, quilt and travel. When the engine start she was in the seat ready to go anywhere. We have been to all fifty states and 48 state capitals, half of Canada, a lot of Mexico and 9 European countries. She never found a quilt pattern she did not love and wanted to make. She had the fabric, thread and machines ready. She loved going to Country Roads Quilt Club, talking, working and helping anyone that needed assistance. Barbara above all enjoyed her family and friends and never met a stranger.
