Pastor Barry married the love of his life, Vicky Lynn Mobbs in Leesville, Louisiana, before attending Assembly of God Bible College in Waxahachie, Texas, where he achieved a Bachelor Degree in Christian Ministry. After graduation, Barry began his career in ministry; a true passion, which he continued for over 45 years, never once claiming such work as a “job”. It was truly Barry’s life goal to love, serve, help, and heal; restoring the broken people of our world, whom we all are or have been.
Barry had an infectious energy and contagious smile. One could not leave his presence without a positive word of encouragement. He was the kind of person that could “make your day”.
Barry was a vital part of the Tribe of Judah motorcycle ministry and was considered one of their pastors. He performed many outlaw biker funerals and successfully raised money for biker families in need.
Barry believed in staying healthy and fit. He and his wife worked out diligently with his favorite gym owner Sonja Steward of 5280fit. Barry and his wife, Vicky, were featured in a publication highlighting their role of “staying fit while you age”.
Barry loved Colorado, spending the majority of his life with his Cajun wife raising his children there. He loved riding his Harley with Vicky close behind him. There is no sport he would not pursue. Barry loved building, buying, and restoring classic automobiles and motorcycles, and was a champion in calf roping and bull riding. He loved his life and “took it by the horns” hard and fast. A truly one of a kind man, Pastor Barry lived with no regrets.
Barry is survived by his wife, Vicky, of 45 years; his daughter, Christine Alesha and (Johnathan Lee) Turner; his son, Brandon Shane (Julie) Palser; five grandchildren whom he absolutely adored, Jordan, Evan, Viviana, Dylan, and Jayden; his siblings, James “Jimmy” Palser and Rosie Stoller; and his nieces and nephews, John, Michelle, Ann, Annie, Jamie , Reed, Caity and Brandi.
Also left to cherish his memory are Barry’s numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as his Citypoint Church (Calvary Temple) family members and friends.
Pastor Barry undoubtedly touched thousands of hearts during his life and will be greatly missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him.
