Bertha Bishop, born in Bogota, Colombia, and long-time resident of Parker, Colorado, passed peacefully in her sleep at 93 years of age. She lived the last 14 years of her life at the Wind Crest campus surrounded by her family, dear friends, and many loving and caring employees who also became dear friends.
She was an extraordinary woman who was beloved by all. She was preceded in death by her son, Diego, her husband, Kenneth Bishop, and her grandsons Diego Salazar and James Bishop. She is survived by her three children, Angela Griffith (John), Marcela Salazar (Camilo), and Roy Bishop.
She was the embodiment of grace and class, unrivaled sophistication and unexpected humor. All love and always putting others before her, is how her 7 grandchildren remember her. Jessica Harper (Darin), Nina McVicker (Scott), Sarah McLean (Eli), John Edward Griffith (Elizabeth), Monica Davern (Jesse), Nikki Bishop, Nick Salazar (Jamie).
Her light and grace will live on in her 12 beautiful great-grandchildren: Kacey and Jordan Harper, Owen and Lincoln McVicker, Colbie McLean, John Logan, Penelope and Ruby Griffith, Cruz Davern, Adrien Hubbard, Olivia and Diego Salazar.
