BJ was born on April 28, 1936 in Knoxville, Tennessee to James and Gladys May. He joined the United States Air Force in the 1950s and retired in 1971. Following his time with the Air Force, BJ went to work with the Denver Sheriff's Department, retiring from the force after 20 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Joanna; his children Jerry May, Jim Wolfers, Sonya Ross, Alecia May, Vanessa Bernier, Carrie Cromeens and Joel May; 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 5 siblings.
Memorial Service at Bear Valley Church on Wednesday March 5 at 10AM.
Inurnment at Fort Logan National Cemetery with United States Air Force Honors at 12noon on Friday March 7, 2014.
