

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Jimmy Blouch,
sister Linda Perez, brother Donald Martinez, son Lorenzo Herrera (Irma), daughter Diana Herrera,daughter Francine Pitcher (Dave), daughter Lisa Barker (Mike), two step daughters Tia Conley (Clyde),
Kelley Callaway (Homer), 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father James Martinez, her mother Lucille Fields, brother Richard Martinez, and sister
Louanna Jones.
Carolyn was a very well read, intelligent, loving and caring person. She was the strong matriarch of the family. Carolyn was also a mother to many friends and family during their time of need. Her door was always open and she was ready to help in any way she could.
Carolyn’s career included working for the Denver & Rio Grande Western
Railroad for over 20 years, where she retired from a management position.
She had many passions and interests. Over her life Carolyn loved spending time mountain bike riding, hiking 14ers, bodybuilding, long distance running, reading, gardening, painting, decorating, crafts, hosting family parties and family history. Additionally she was
proud that DNA testing revealed her lineage included 38% Native American.
Funeral Mass will be held September 28, 2021, beginning 11:00 AM at
St. Francis Cabrini Perish, 6673 W Chatfield Ave, Littleton, Colorado.
Followed by services at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:15 PM.
