Born on October 23, 1952 in Midland, TX to Charles Leslie Snure and Mary Frances (Barnard) Snure, Chuck lived a modest and happy West Texas childhood. He spent summers fishing the Llano River in Junction, TX and Fridays under the lights playing football as a safety for Midland High School. He would later go on to graduate from Texas Tech University and remained devoted to the Red Raiders until the very end.
Known to most as “Chiefy,” he will be remembered as a steadfast man of faith and an eternal optimist. He was a loyal friend to many and a stranger to no one. Chiefy enjoyed the simple things in life, like a good glass of wine or scotch, a familiar song, and a faithful dog by his side. He was somewhat inappropriate, fairly predictable, and always intentional. Most of all, he was a loving father and doting grandfather and will be missed beyond measure.
In addition to his legacy, he’s survived by his daughters, Erin (Snure) Hehn and husband Jason; Lauren (Snure) Mullinix and husband Brandon; sister, Gayle Ingle and husband Rusty; nephew Andrew Ingle and niece Laura (Ingle) Hebert. He was the proud grandfather to Kylie (15) and Audrey (13) Hehn, and Marshall Mullinix (4 months). He will also be deeply missed by his beloved golden retriever, Dixie, and by the many friends whose lives he touched.
A service celebrating Chuck’s life will be held Thursday, October 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Olinger Chapel Hill, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the MS Society - Colorado Chapter.
