Christie was born on March 25, 1958 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was raised by her parents Jim and Clora Ridlon, and grew up with her two younger sisters Darcy and Dana. At the young age of 18, she immediately launched her business career at Security National Bank. It was there she met the love of her life, Brad, and they began their lifetime of adventures together. They were married two years later on February 18, 1978 at Village Baptist Church in Northglenn, Colorado. They raised two children, a son Brian, and daughter Jenny. Her children also brought her three grandchildren Coltrane, Quinn and Annabelle.
Christie was first and foremost a mother and Gammy to all those around her. She was also a Pug-loving Chihuahua Momma. Early on in her life Christie was an energetic aerobics teacher and enjoyed couples league bowling every week. She shared her passion for crocheting by creating baby blankets for babies all over the country and even scarves for a lucky few. Christie was a lover of the outdoors. She spent her summers camping, bike riding, and frequently enjoyed outfishing Brad. She cheered on the Broncos and her favorite race cars from every grandstand and sideline she could. For sixteen years she loved being a paraprofessional within the Adams 12 school district where she created friendships and impacted many students' lives. If you ever caught her in the family red mustang, you would find her name scripted on the door handle. Christie had a gentle heart and patient personality that helped her listen to anyone anytime. Through her quiet faithfulness, she served as a deaconess and loved singing in many church choir performances.
Christie was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Clora Ridlon. She is survived by her husband, Brad, their son Brian and his wife, Aja, and their daughter Annabelle; their daughter Jenny and her children Coltrane and Quinn. She is also survived by her two younger sisters Darcy and Dana. Other surviving close family members include Judy, Ginny and Drew.
