Cody Michael Grenz, beloved son, brother, family member, and friend, passed away on May 29, 2026, at the age of 30. Born on August 24, 1995, in Denver, Colorado, to Traci and Michael Grenz. Cody was the much loved twin brother of Christylynne and younger brother of Christopher. He was deeply loved by his grandparents Skip, Marilyn, Gloria, and Harley.
Cody lived a life defined by adventure, passion, creativity, and a heart overflowing with love.
Cody was a deeply creative and artistic soul who viewed the world through his own unique lens. Art provided him with a meaningful outlet to express his imagination, perspective, and individuality. He was also naturally gifted in music, possessing an ear for melody and rhythm that inspired him to explore and learn a variety of instruments.
Athletic by nature, Cody seemed to excel at any sport he chose to pursue. He enjoyed lacrosse, soccer, and wrestling. His natural talent and determination were impossible to miss. He had a deep love for adventure and found joy in water sports such as wakeboarding, kite surfing, foiling, and jet packing, always eager to push himself and master something new. In quieter moments, he enjoyed playing volleyball and spending time fly fishing. No matter the activity, Cody approached it with enthusiasm, confidence, and a natural ability that inspired those around him. His athleticism was more than a talent - it was a reflection of his adventurous spirit and his desire to experience life to its fullest.
An adventurer at heart and an adrenaline junkie through and through, he was always seeking his next experience, challenge, or hobby. Whether he was riding dirt bikes, attending car meets, going to theme parks, or even pursuing his fascination with ghost hunting, Cody threw himself wholeheartedly into the things that captured his interest.
As a proud Colorado native, Colorado's mountains, rivers, and wild landscapes held a special place in Cody's heart. He found peace, excitement, and inspiration in nature and cherished every opportunity to experience its beauty.
Above all else, Cody will be remembered for the size of his heart. He loved fiercely and generously, earning him what many would call a lion's heart - strong, loyal, and fiercely protective of the people he loved. He cared deeply for others, often putting their needs before his own. His sense of humor brought laughter to family gatherings, friendships, and everyday moments, while his kindness and compassion left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.
Though his time here was far too short, Cody’s legacy lives on in the countless memories he created and the lives he touched. His adventurous spirit, creative soul, generous heart, and love for others will be remembered always.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
