Dan is survived by his beloved wife, Sharill Wood; his sons, Wayne Wood and Jim Wood; his grandchildren, Jonathan Wood, Jennifer Myers, Michael Wood, Jacob Wood, and Chantelle Arneach; and his great-grandchildren, Adeline and Liberty Arneach, Carter Myers, and Asher Wood. He is also remembered fondly by many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know him.
To know Dan was to know a man of genuine warmth, compassion, and steadfast faith. He had a gift for making people feel at ease. Whether you were family, a close friend, or someone he had just met, Dan would take the time to listen, to encourage, and often to pray with you. His faith was not just something he believed; it was something he lived out daily in how he loved and served others.
Dan embraced life fully. He worked hard throughout his years, building a life that provided not only for his family but also created opportunities for joy and adventure. Through his work, he earned awards and opportunities that allowed him and Sharill to travel and experience the world together, creating memories they cherished deeply.
He also carried a playful spirit. Dan loved to joke, tease, and bring laughter into every room he entered. His sense of humor, combined with his genuine kindness, made him someone people were naturally drawn to.
Above all, Dan was a giving man whose generosity of time, encouragement, and love touched countless lives. His life was a reflection of the faith he held so dearly, and his impact will continue to be felt for generations.
Though he is no longer with us physically, his family finds peace in knowing he is now home, walking hand in hand with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His memory, his faith, and his love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
