He lived in Massachusetts, Illinois, Indiana, California and Colorado through his working years. He eventually retired in Colorado after having visiting all but two states in the USA. David was loved and respected for his quick wit, frank honesty and hard work. He always offered a helping hand whether it was with vehicles, home projects or just common sense advice. David was an inspiration, a father figure and friend. He would do anything for you. I recall one day seeing him on his roof about to clean the leaves out of his gutters when we had discussed just a few days earlier how he shouldn’t be climbing up there. When I confronted him, he sheepishly said, “Oh, I was hoping you wouldn’t see me.” He was determined, stubborn and I adored him. You are in my thoughts, Sally and family.
