

He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas in 1939, and grew up in Emporia, Kansas with his siblings Anne, Benita, and George. After graduating from Emporia High, he attended Emporia State University where he earned his BA in 1962. He married Sharon Le Reaburn on June 14, 1964. During his career he worked for Aetna Life and Casualty and went on to own a Farmers Insurance Agency. David was a member of the Littleton Optimist Club, and the Weston Masonic Lodge #93. He loved fishing, football, history, and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon Reaburn Jones; his children Shanna (Justin) Conn and Jared Jones. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Kendall Conn, Ian Conn, Jayden Jones, and Jayce Jones.
In true David Jones style, his family will always remember his stubborn determination with his often used quote, “When the world is wrong, I will just wait for it to change.”
