Although I only knew David for a short time we had a connection. I was looking forward to getting back to Littleton and spending some time with David and Sandi. David was an unforgettable and unique person. I will miss him.

Sandi- my dear lifelong friend. I just wanted you to know how much I care about you and will be here for you. The service was beautiful and although I did not know David as well as I would have liked, it was obvious how cherised he was by his friends. You are an amazing strong woman and I know that David was lucky to have you in his life. Like you said not everyone gets to have that bond with the love of their life and I am so glad you did. Just when you think the impossible can't happen, life shows us all who is in charge. I'll miss your stories and the smiles you brought to my face every day. I am a better person for knowing you, may you rest in peace Lumpy!

Rest easy Lumpy.  I will always look at salt shakers and think of your "assaulted" jokes.  You will be very missed.  Sandi, I am so sorry for your loss.

Oh, David!  You've left us, and I still cannot believe it!  When Sandi called with the impossible news, Duane and I both began to cry with dismay and disbelief.  We were counting the days until our return to Littleton, and the chance to see you two again ... b'fast at our favorite spot, visits and laughter.  God must have really needed you badly to rip you away from all of us so early.  We miss you already ... but will never forget your fun sense of humor, the twinkle in your eye and your totally unique YOU!  We love you, our pal, and will stay close to Sandi for you.

Rest easy, "Lumpy," you left a mark on many people. I had the pleasure of working with you for a few years, you always made me laugh. Prayers and peace to your family and friends as they grieve your loss.
