

Born in Jefferson, Iowa, Dave spent his early childhood in Vienna, Austria, before moving with his family to numerous military posts across the globe. Later in life, he called New Jersey, California, and ultimately Colorado home.
Dave faced his battle with Parkinson’s Disease with courage and grace. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Gerald Reberry and his sister Kay Smith.
He is survived by his beloved wife Marita Dietrich Reberry of 54 years, with whom he shared a remarkable journey. Their courtship and engagement began just before Dave left to serve his country in Vietnam.
Dave was a devoted father to his two sons, Jeffrey (Paige) and Andrew (Kelley), and a cherished "Papa" to his six grandchildren: Whitney, Dylan, Scarlett, Logan, Ramsey, and River, all of whom were fortunate to live within a mile of their Papa. He is also survived by his brother Robert of San Diego.
Dave graduated from Nürnberg High School in Germany and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, a Master of Science degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Stanford University.
While serving with distinction as a First Lieutenant in Vietnam, Dave had the unique opportunity to share Sunday dinners in Saigon with his father, creating cherished memories from their overlapping service during the war.
After Vietnam, Dave joined Bell Laboratories, embarking on a career marked by innovation and leadership. Dave later moved to Colorado, where he served as Vice President at US West. His career also included pivotal roles with a startup in San Francisco and CH2M Hill back in Colorado. Even in retirement, he remained active, becoming the accountant for his sons' Internet business.
Among his many accomplishments, Dave took the greatest pride in raising his two compassionate sons. He also served on the Engineering Advisory Board at CU Boulder, reflecting his lifelong commitment to learning and innovation.
Dave’s personal pursuits included golf, travel, and most importantly, time spent with family and friends. He was a man of unwavering integrity and high ethical standards, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Dave's life was a testament to the values of love, service, and perseverance, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A military service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on December 16 at 1:30 PM, followed by a celebration of life reception at the family's home from 2:30 to 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Parkinson Association of the Rockies, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s disease.
Dave embraced boxing as part of his journey, using the high-impact sport to help slow the progression and inspire others facing similar challenges. His boxing classes were made possible through the support of this wonderful organization.
