Born in Denver, Colorado, Devin grew up in Aurora and Elizabeth, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a spirit of adventure that stayed with him throughout his life. Whether he was skateboarding, rollerblading, water skiing, snowboarding, or simply enjoying nature, Devin felt most alive outside. He also loved music and found joy in attending music festivals, especially those featuring his favorite artist, Pretty Lights.
Devin had a gentle heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a fiercely loyal nature. He loved deeply and remained connected to the people who mattered most to him, building lasting relationships with family and friends throughout his life. He faced many challenges, but he never stopped trying to build the life he hoped for. Those who knew him will remember his resilience, his kindness, and the genuine care he showed to others.
He had an artistic spirit and an eye for beauty in everyday things. Whether he was sketching, organizing a space until it felt just right, or appreciating different forms of art, Devin found satisfaction in creating order and expressing himself in quiet ways. He also shared a special bond with his beloved bulldog, Thor, whose companionship brought him endless comfort and joy.
Devin is lovingly remembered by his moms, Teresa Nelson and Michelle Steiner; his dad, Scott Steiner; his brothers, Nicholas Steiner, Benjamin Steiner, and Brandon Nelson; his grandmother, Joyce Bloom, his extended family; and the many friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Above all, Devin will be remembered for his loving heart, his adventurous spirit, and the loyalty he showed to those fortunate enough to know him. His family hopes that he will be remembered not for the challenges he faced, but for the love he gave, the laughter he shared, the hope he carried, and the countless ways he touched the lives of others.
Though his time with us was far too short, Devin's memory will live on in every mountain trail, every favorite song, every loyal friend, every beloved dog, and every heart that was changed by knowing him.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts, Devin.
