Dharma Devi Williams

Dharma Devi Williams, 80, entered her eternal rest on August 18, 2026, in the comfort of her home. Born on November 29, 1945, in Madurai, India, to Thomas and Clara Abraham, Devi lived a life marked by self‑sacrifice, a deep love for God, limitless patience, and unwavering commitment to those who sought prayer.

She grew up as the oldest of six siblings, including Charles, Shanthi, Nirmala, Usha, and Ranjini. From an early age, her selflessness and determination were unmistakable. She was a blessing to her parents and younger siblings, always placing their needs above her own.

Affectionately known as Devi, she lived in Chennai, Tindivanam, and Puducherry, where she completed her higher secondary education before permanently settling in Chennai. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Home Science from SIET College in Chennai and later a bachelor’s degree in education from Coimbatore. During her college years, she was first drawn to Christ and His teachings—a calling that would shape the rest of her life.

In 1972, Devi married her beloved husband, Wilfred, in Chennai, where they made their home until 2015. That same year, she began her career as a teaching assistant at Reserve Bank Colony Preparatory School, eventually becoming headmistress. As a working wife and mother, she devoted herself to raising her three sons with a strong foundation in Christ and building a loving, resilient family. Despite financial challenges, she worked tirelessly to ensure her children received a solid education and every opportunity to thrive. In 1982, in obedience to the Lord, she was baptized and began her ministry through preaching, intercession and prayer. After retiring early in the late nineties, Devi devoted herself entirely to outreach ministry across Tamil Nadu, focusing on women and youth through her ministry, Unchanging Love of God, and leading many to the saving knowledge of Jesus.

Devi’s greatest passions were her devotion time with God, time of intercession for others and time with her family. She gave herself completely to God’s work and to her husband and children, balancing long workdays with family dinners and meaningful moments. Her daily prayers for her children and grandchildren continued until her final breath. A gracious hostess, she welcomed everyone into her home with heartfelt warmth. Her profound love for her children extended naturally to the next generation, and through her example, all three of her sons became committed followers of Christ.

In 2015, with the support of her sons, she courageously relocated to Denver, Colorado, with her husband to be closer to her children and grandchildren—a step of faith that allowed her to witness each of them grow in their walk with God. She embraced life in the United States from the moment she arrived and was deeply grateful for the opportunity to be near her family and siblings. For 11 years, she poured her energy into caring for her husband, spending time with her grandchildren, praying for those in need with words of comfort and discernment, and preaching God’s word to Indian immigrant communities. Her devotion to God during these years was unparalleled, overflowing with warmth, kindness, and genuine concern for others.

She found joy in meditating on the Bible, spending time with family, playing board games, and connecting with people wherever she went. She loved coloring, word puzzles, and discovering peace in life’s simple pleasures. She cared deeply for relatives near and far, always checking on their well‑being. Her infectious smile and compassionate prayers were a blessing to all who knew her.

Quiet in demeanor yet deeply relational, Devi loved connecting with people one‑on‑one. Her gentle spirit made others feel seen, heard, and cared for. She prayed often for others and drew strength from her faith, which remained her constant comfort throughout her life.

Devi is survived by her children Deepak, Navin, and Samuel; her daughters‑in‑law Sangeetha, Archana, and Angie; her grandchildren Elijah, Noah, Anayah, Jonathan, Yana, Jude, Joelle, Jolene, and Joslyn; and her siblings Usha and Ranjini. She will be remembered for her sacrificial nature, steadfast faith, and deep love for her family.

Everyone who knew Devi loved her warm smile. Her legacy of gentleness, patience and devotion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to share in her life in this side of heaven.

Visitation will be held at Calvary Chapel Cherry Creek, 6782 S Potomac St Suite 900, Suite 900, Centennial, CO 80112, US, on August 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on August 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, and a Reception there on August 29, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121, US, on August 29, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Devi to make contributions to Deepak Williams, to be donated in her memory to support boys and girls with developmental disabilities.
