Donald married the love of his life, Dee Ann Gorton on February 5, 1966 in Seibert, Colorado and two daughters later joined the family. He attended Windsor High School before being drafted into the Unites States Army, where he actively served his country for two years, before entering the Reserves. During his time in the military, Donald was a weapons expert, guarded the Berlin Wall, and watched over Prisoner of War Hess.
Donald spent his career as a Yard Supervisor in the heavy bridge and road construction industry. During his lifetime, Donald and his family lived in Windsor, Glenwood Springs, and Aurora, Colorado. He was passionate about gardening, fishing, die cast, and was an avid toy collector.
Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife of 53 years, Dee Ann Felker; his two daughters, Lee (Pete) James of Casper, WY and Lori (Greg) Blodgett of Centennial; his grandchildren, Derek Wicks of Aurora, Cami Wicks of Casper, WY, Amber Blodgett of Centennial, and Amanda Blodgett of Centennial; his siblings, Diane Dietz of Johnstown, Peter Felker of Johnstown, Larry (Peggy) Felker of Severence, and Kay (Lenny) Scott of Windsor; his nieces and nephews, Bruce, Sidney, and Robi Dietz, Justin Felker, Nicole (Jonathan) Thompson, and Travis Felker; and numerous other family members and friends. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel and Leah Felker; and his sister, Julie Felker.
A Funeral Service will be held in Donald's honor on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial. A Visitation will be held one hour prior. The family will receive guests at a Reception, immediately following the Funeral Service.
A Committal Service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:15 am at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area "C", 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, where Donald will receive military honors.
