Donna Lee Friesen, of Castle Rock, Colorado, peacefully slipped into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Tuesday afternoon, August 27, 2024, while in the care of Bloom Hospice at Bonaventure Assisted Living.
Donna was born in Cheraw, Colorado to the late James Howard Clanton and Theresa Kathyrn Clanton on July 24, 1937. After moving around for Howard’s job, the family settled in Englewood, Colorado, where she graduated from Englewood High School.
Donna worked for the Federal Center, General Services in Administration and Public Buildings Services for two years.
Donna married Daniel M Friesen, from Meade, KS, on 11/24/1956 and they spent the next 56 years together until his passing on March 07, 2013. During this time, they were blessed with the birth of their children, Wayne Daniel, David Kent and Rhonda Lee. Donna worked at her children's schools for a time until she helped Dan with his Electrical Contracting Business. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and cruising with family and friends.
Until her health conditions made it difficult to attend, Donna was involved in her church and Bible studies. She kept up with her high school friends and church friends for many years, often eating out or just talking on the phone. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and her boy, Steve Harvey, on Family Feud with her daughter in the evenings until her passing.
