Donna Lee Hoy

Donna Lee Hoy, age 89, was welcomed into heaven on Monday, July 13, 2026 in Castle Rock, Colorado in her home. She was born August 10, 1936 in Denver, Colorado to Russell and Dorothy (Gerard) Henderson. She had an older brother Marvin Jay. Donna was a graduate of North High School in Denver, Colorado in 1954. She married Robert Wayne Hoy on September 11, 1954. They had 4 children, David Wayne, Lucinda Wood, Vicki Matta and BJ Hoy.

Through the years, Donna served the Lord as a deaconess, Sunday School Superintendent, VBS Director and Bible Study Fellowship discussion leader. Wayne and Donna enjoyed traveling across the country and to Australia and New Zealand. Donna enjoyed singing, reading, crafting and quilting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband, and oldest son David. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Debbie Hoy, daughters Lucinda (John) Wood and Vicki (Nephtali) Matta, and son BJ Hoy. She had 8 grandchildren: Jackie (Jan-Willem DeBleser) Hoy, Jen (Adam) Lieberman, Amy (Nicholas) Clement, Christopher and Mikall Wood, Nephtali (Alison) Matta, Dorothy (Joshua) Brokering and Phillip (Christie) Matta. She had 14 great grandchildren: Cambria, Berkeley, Cooper, and Ellay Lieberman, Elizabeth and Melody Clement, Julien and Dashiell Wood, Zephaniah and Marta Matta, Fiona and Titus Brokering, Emery and Sloan Matta.
