Doris Jeanne Anderson was born in Manitou Springs, Colorado on August 4, 1928. She had two adoring older brothers, Gerald and Roy and was the apple of her parents’ eye. Doris Jeanne graduated from South High School in Denver in 1946. She met her future husband, Leroy “Andy” Anderson at Lakeside Amusement Park and married him on December 25, 1949. At the time of Andy’s death in 2003, Andy and Doris had been married for 53 loving years.
Doris Jeanne was the proud mother of two daughters, Cathleen and Christine. She was the loving grandmother of Kelly (Sean), Tracy (Debbie), Charlie (Jasmin), Travis (Rachel), and Jeff (Brett). Doris Jeanne cherished her ten great-grandchildren: Alex, Leah, Reese, Ryan, Andy, Ryder, Cole, Rex, Carly, and Rocket.
Doris Jeanne’s family was her greatest treasure. She was devoted to caring for every family member; spreading love and affection to all around her. Doris Jeanne enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her furry sidekicks, CC and Muffin. Doris was baptized in 1960 as a Jehovah Witness and continued to be very faithful for the rest of her life.
Doris’s kindness, generosity, and warm-hearted smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Doris Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband Leroy “Andy”, brother Gerald, daughter Christine, and great-grandchildren Leah and Ryder.
