Dorothy was born to Clarence and Gladys Strange in Emory, Georgia on November 17th 1930. She lived in Georgia and California prior to meeting her beloved husband Merle Nelson and settling permanently in Colorado.
Dorothy enjoyed work as a mother and homemaker while supporting her husband in his various business ventures. Dorothy and Merle retired to North glenn Colorado where they lived happily for 25 years. Dorothy's passions included her family, participating in her church, traveling and working on her house and yard (Winning several community awards).
Dorothy si survived by her daughter Deborah and son Stephen. In addition she is survived by her two sisters Blanche and Joanne. Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband Merle, her two sons Robert and Larry, and her brother Micheal.
dorothy will be buried, with her husband, at Fort Logan National Cemetery on April 3rd, 2013.
