Dreama K Luckinbill

Dreama Katherine Luckinbill, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on September 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 9, 1937, in Covington, Virginia, Dreama was a beacon of light and love, whose warmth touched everyone she met.

Dreama, the cherished daughter of Clarence and Margaret Bennington, was a proud graduate of East High School in Denver in 1955. She furthered her education at Emily Griffith, studying comptometry. In 1957 Dreama married Lynn H. Luckinbill, and together they embarked on a journey filled with love and devotion that spanned 70 beautiful years.

Dreama and Lynn were blessed with five children: Lyndee and Chris Montemayor, Sandra Gabel and John Abas, Steven and Kathy Luckinbill, Bonnie and Tim Davis, and Scott and Jackie Luckinbill. Her legacy continues through her 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward her spirit of kindness and joy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and those who called her Mom.

Dreama’s life was marked by her dedication to family and community. After initially working for the phone company, she joined her husband in Germany, where she embraced the role of a devoted homemaker. Upon returning to the workforce, she first contributed to school lunch programs and later delighted students with her baked treats at Ranum High School. Her talents were further shared at Westminster National Bank, and she generously volunteered at food banks in Colorado and Oklahoma.

Her passion for travel took her and her family on memorable adventures across Europe, including Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, and the Rock of Gibraltar, as well as to Morocco and many U.S. states, including Hawaii and Alaska. Dreama’s love for baking extended beyond her home, as she taught cake decorating to church groups and crafted cakes for countless celebrations.

A pillar in her community, Dreama was a room mother, Girl Scout leader, and youth group volunteer. Her spirit of inclusion made everyone feel like part of her family, a testament to her boundless love and infectious laughter that brightened every room.

Dreama was predeceased by her parents, her brother CT Bennington Jr., his wife Marilyn, her father-in-law Ray H. Luckinbill, mother-in-law Virginia Luckinbill, and her granddaughter Christy Ann Montemayor. Her family expresses their deepest gratitude to Compasses Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Dreama in her final days.

A service to celebrate Dreama's life will be held on Tuesday October 6 at 10:00 am at Chapel Hills Mortuary 6601 S Colorado Blvd Centennial Co 80121.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dreama's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
