Marcie’s life was devoted to serving her family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She poured her life into her husband, her daughters, and her leadership positions in Community Bible Study. She loved studying the Bible daily, playing with her six grandchildren, dancing, playing pinochle, playing with their family dogs, and building and decorating their many family homes as they moved throughout the country. Her bow-making was famous, and her prayerful notes brightened many days.
She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 52 years, Thomas Hamilton, her two children, and six grandchildren. Her legacy of godly leadership and serving the Lord continues in her daughters, Mandy Grant and Meghan Paasonen, and their families. Mandy and Jason Grant and their children Nehemiah (11), Glory-Selah (8), and Hosanna-Hope (6) reside in Hazleton, PA, serving the Lord in their local church. Meghan and John Paasonen and their children Andrew Finlay (Finn) (10), Luke (7), and Daniel (5) reside in Columbine Valley, CO, serving the Lord through a continued legacy in Community Bible Study.
We are deeply thankful for the presence of Mom, Marc, Gammie in our lives for 75 years. Countless lives have been directed to the Lord, including our family's, through her faith, devotion, and leadership. We know she is praising the Lord at His throne, hands in the air, body swaying, but this time with her eyes open...not imagining her Savior but seeing Him!
We are also thankful for you, our friends and family, for your prayers, encouragement, and gifts in her honor.
