Born on January 20, 1950, in Iowa, Eugene grew up in Littleton, Colorado. He was one of five siblings and spent most of his life in Colorado.
Eugene met the love of his life, Shari Moreno, while working as a cook at Bear Valley, where Shari was a waitress. She already had two babies when they met. They were married for 32 years until Shari's passing in 2005.
Cooking was Eugene's passion. He worked as a chef in several restaurants throughout his career and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. He was also a die-hard Denver Broncos fan who loved sports and rarely missed a game.
Family meant everything to Eugene. He was the proud father of Kimberly Creger, of Littleton and Scott Parks, who passed away in 2017. He has four siblings, Rod (Lynn) Parks of Loveland, Lori (Dave) Byrns of Strasburg, and Terri and Debbie, who have passed.
He also leaves behind six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and eleven nieces and nephews.
Eugene will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his work, his passion for cooking, especially his green chili, and his unwavering support of the Denver Broncos. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
