Evangelina U. Villarreal, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 17, 2026, at her residence, Shalom Park. Born on September 5, 1932, in Alpine, Texas, to Clemente and Ysidra Uranga, Eva spent her formative years in Alpine, Texas, where she graduated from Alpine High School.
Eva married her devoted husband, Victor, on January 2, 1952, and together they raised three children: Victor, Glenn, and Rita Grace. Throughout her life, she was a valued employee, working for both the federal government and the Ysleta School District.
A beautiful and caring woman, Eva dedicated her life to being with her beautiful grandchildren. She shared her love for travel, exploring various parts of the United States, Asia, and Europe with her husband and family. In her free time, she enjoyed playing dominos, card games, swimming, and golf, which she believed kept her youthful.
Eva was also a compassionate volunteer at the Senior Center in Horizon City and the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Her friendly, giving, and selfless nature made her a beloved figure in her community, and she cherished the opportunity to visit with others.
Eva is survived by her sons, Victor (Diane) and Glenn (Debbie), eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Delma Loya (Rudy Sr.)
She was preceded in death by her husband Victor, and daughter Rita Grace (Eduardo Nunez).
A Graveside service will be held at Ft Bliss National Cemetery on Friday July 10th at 11AM.
We extend our deepest appreciation to the staff at Morningstar Jordan and Shalom Park, as well as Rachel Jones RN and the staff of Brighton Hospice, for their unwavering support during this difficult time.
