Later worked as a bookkeeper for several companies including the US District Attorney’s Office. In 1984 she was widowed. 1986 she married Earl Klingensmith who has 3 living children PK Niebling, Wally (Sandy) Klingensmith, and Allen (Cathy) Klingensmith. Earl passed in 2006 after which she continued enjoying her life in Arvada.
Fleta served as the worthy matron of the eastern star heritage Chapter 1979-1980.
She is survived by her children Peggy (Tony) Shafer, Eugene Jennings, and Ed Jennings; grandchildren Tammy (Joe) Porambo, Julie (Karl) Meyers, Thomas (Vanessa) Jennings, and Michael (Becca) Jennings; 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews and friends from as far back as 7 decades to those met in recent months.
She is preceded in death by her 1st husband Orval Jennings, son Orval Jennings Jr., 2nd husband Earl Klingensmith, and all 5 siblings.
Fleta loved all animals, ask any of her neighborhood critters. They always received extra attention, love and maybe even a biscuit when they walked up to the porch rather than around the corner on her block. She raised many critters including several Scotties.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to see contributions be made to Scotties Rescue of the Rockies.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.olingerchapelhill.com for the Klingensmith family.
