Florence E. Horton was born August 10, 1919 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. On March 25, 2012, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado she quietly slipped over the threshold into eternal life. She was 92 years old. She was a model for the Vogue Modeling agency in Chicago; switchboard operator for AT&T and Craig Hospital, apartment manager, 911 emergency operator for Denver Police Department, manager for F.W. Woolworth store, as well as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son Rev. John R. Horton (Phyllis) of Aurora, Colorado, her daughter Pamela J. Hall (Jerry), of Arvada, Colorado, grandsons Sean (Tawnya) Horton, and Nathan (Cimarron) Horton, granddaughter Karen (Jeremy) Hayes, great-grandsons Ryan Michael, and Jacob Matthew and great-granddaughter Sara Anne Noel Hayes. Her husband John P. Horton preceded her in death, as well as her two granddaughters Stacy Dawn Horton and Heather Noel Hall.
