I was a research assistant for Frank for a number of years at UCHSC.  

I will remember him for his kindness, the way he fostered a continuing love of learning and discovery in those around him, his wonderful sense of humor and the slightly mischievous twinkle in his eye when he smiled.

I was a member of his lab when my own father passed away.  He was a tremendous source of comfort and understanding.  He will be terribly missed.  He was a wonderful man and friend.

Frank was acitve and dedicated to his teaching and research.  I have always respected that quality.  the paper above was pubished two days prior to his death.   

More importantly I benefited from his friendship.

We have met Prof Frerman last year in Aarhus, Denmark, when we both visited collaborators there and participated in a seminar together; We remember his friendliness, wisdom and open discussions about science . Dear Alice and all of Frank's family,
I enjoyed so much getting to know Frank when we would do prison services together. Frank was such an unassuming, humble man who was so grounded in our faith. He always had a smile for everyone. He brought so much love of our Lord to the inmates. I shall miss his friendship and serving our Lord together. This was a good man. May God Bless.
