On Tuesday, December 25, 2018, Frank Gebhard Zorn, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 66. Frank was born on February 15, 1952 in Bad Schussenried, Germany, to Michael and Elizabeth Zorn. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS in Mathematics in 1974. He was happily married for 26 years to his wife, Indra, who was at his bedside when he passed. They have two children, Elizabeth and Joe, and Frank has three children from a previous marriage, Matthew, Rachael, and Megan. All loved their father dearly. Frank also had 6 wonderful grandchildren.
Frank was a Project Manager at Raytheon Company in Aurora, CO for over 20 years. Previously he worked at Hughes Aircraft Company. While not working, Frank loved the mountains and skied, rock climbed, and scaled some 14ers. A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, Frank rarely missed a game. Frank also liked Jimmy Buffet: he and Indra were devoted Parrotheads and they never passed up a good Margarita. He also liked the Moody Blues and the Eagles, attending many concerts with his family. He was also a world traveler, visiting many exotic locations, such as Iceland, the Caribbean, Fiji, Mexico, Costa Rica, and spent many summers visiting his good friends Scott and Robin Hamilton in Florida, and loved spending time with his large family in the Midwest.
Frank was predeceased by his father, Michael Zorn. He is survived by his wife, Indra Zorn, his mother, Elizabeth Zorn, his brothers Herb (Cheryl) Zorn, Michael Zorn , and Peter (Jan) Zorn, his children Matthew (Renee) Zorn, Rachael Zorn, Megan (Brian) Garner, Elizabeth Zorn and Joseph Zorn. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary in Centennial, CO.
