

After college while working in Greeley, Co for Skaggs Drug Center as a Warehouse Manager he met and then married his wife, Rhonda Thompson. He worked many years in retail and restaurant management, before changing directions to become a business analyst for Dish Network. He retired from Dish due to health issues in 2013.
Gary was believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and loved worshipping with the body of believers. In his younger years he enjoyed singing in the choir, participating in Bible studies and other church activities when he could. He loved going fishing and being in the mountains of Colorado when he was physically able. He loved time with his family and especially the holiday gatherings at his parents’ home in Canon City, where many games were played, and many stories were told. He especially loved playing strategy games with his sons and nephews.
Gary is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rhonda, their sons Bel (Osric) Lord-Williams of Denver and Justin (Kyla) Lord of Wheaton, IL and one granddaughter. He is also survived by two brothers, Norman (Wanda) of Lone Tree, Brian (Rhonda) of Highlands Ranch, a sister Kathy (Tim) Slama of Montrose, 4 nephews and 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Shirley Lord.
Funeral Services will take place at Parker Bible Church, 10595 Newlin Gulch Blvd, Parker, Co on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM. A private graveside service will take place for the family following the church service.
