George graduated from Northwestern University where he was in the marching band and served as the Concert Chairman for the Activities and Organizations Board. Beyond education, he was a member of Boy Scout Meritorious Service, Eagle Scout, and AA where he made and nurtured many relationships. George was also a member of the Society of Geophysicists and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
George had a beautiful mind and mastered the piano and electric organ and was an extemporaneous composer of over 250 pieces. He was a hardworking man, eventually becoming CEO and President of Lisle Gravity.
George will be dearly missed by his sons, Brett and Chandler, his sister, Mary, his significant other, Madeleine, and the many friends whose lives he touched.
A Celebration of a Lifetime will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:00 am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. The family will greet guests at a reception immediately following the service. A private inurnment will be held at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, Centennial following the reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwestern University NUMBALUM Push On Fund to provide aid to students in the Northwestern Marching Band.
