Hazel Marie Riley

Hazel Marie Peterson Riley was born August 14, 1920, to Arthur Emil Peterson and Mary Ann Gabel Peterson in Weld County, Colorado. She graduated from Englewood High School in 1938. On August 29, 1941, she married Arthur Miles Riley, Jr., in Englewood. The couple raised their four children in Littleton. After her husband Art died on November 2, 1979, she continued to live in Littleton until returning to Englewood in 2005.

Hazel is survived by four children: Linda Lee Funk (Bernie) of Colorado, Carol Jeanne Burt (Bill) of Massachusetts, Janice Diane Haley (Charlie) of Colorado, and James Miles Riley of Texas; six grandchildren: Rebecca Jo, Matthew Vinton (Nancy), Channing Jeanne, Charles Tiffany III (Cindy), Dyanna Marie (Scott), and Nathan Martin (Denie); and eight great-grandchildren: Brianna Marie, Charles Tiffany IV, Daniel Edmund, Joshua Arthur, Rebekah Susanna, Rachael Lanae, Jady Valentina, and Daniel Bradford. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and his wife, Gerald and Ierene Riley.

Hazel was predeceased by her husband Arthur Miles Riley, Jr., parents Arthur Emil Peterson and Mary Ann Gabel Peterson, stepmother Effie Mae Mathers Peterson, brothers Robert Grant Peterson and Arthur Arnold Peterson (Grace), sister Vivian Bernice Rucker (Jim), grandson Patrick Allen, and great-granddaughter, Faith Surrender.
