Hilde & Dick would come to Gig Harbor to visit with Val & family. I didn't work at the time so Hilde & I would sneak away for lunch & an afternoon at the casino in Tacoma. We would sit next to each other at the slots & talk, laugh & play. Whenever someone got ahead, one of us would cash in while the other held the machine. We ALWAYS walked away with lunch paid for, our original investment & some extra. I cherish those times with her. As I have said before, whenever I think of Hilde, it makes me smile. That was what she was always doing, smiling.
