As part of a military family Hillary moved six times throughout her childhood, before moving to Centennial, Colorado where she graduated from Arapahoe High School. She was a very active child, participating in swimming, skiing, gymnastics, volleyball, and softball.
Hillary loved animals. Pursuing her passion, she attended Colorado State University before completing her Veterinary Technician Certification at Bel-Rea Institute. Hillary worked at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital for several years where the variety and quality of animal care furthered her interest in medicine.
Hillary returned to school, completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and began her career as a Registered Nurse. Hillary entered a specialty training program at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado becoming a surgical operating room nurse. After nearly two years in Grand Junction, she accepted a position as a traveling nurse. Hillary spent the past six months in Vail, Colorado at Vail Valley Hospital where she specialized in orthopedic surgery.
Hillary’s sudden death was both shocking and devastating to her immediate and extended family. She was a precious child, a beautiful young woman, and a kind and loving soul. She will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind her parents, her brother; Matthew Cooke, and a large extended family who all loved her dearly.
A Memorial Service will held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, Colorado.
