Ike, i can't stop crying. i'm so envious that you're HOME with GOD and our sweet angel LaVerna. but i'm so sad that the rest of us have to wait so long to hug you both again. 

Also (and i know you'll appreciate this), i'm struggling with this whole online condolences thing. i already wrote you a letter and submitted it, but i must have screwed something up bc it's not there. (hold your tongue, Ike! remember the night i tried to teach you how to add contacts to your cell phone? you're not a tech wiz either.) hug LaVerna for me. and tell Jesus i say "HI".

(i don't know how to do heart kiss emoji.) I LOVE YOU. give LaVerna a big, tight hug for me. and tell Jesus i say "hey."

Great memories with Ike and his participation in Higher Ground Men's Chorus and he was a founding member. He was always cheerful and pleasant even while in the nursing home. We enjoyed visiting and singing gospel songs with him. He was  a great friend and he loved his family. 
We already miss him.

Ike and LaVerna were dear friends. He was such an encourager and so faithful in the daily life after my husband went to be with Jesus.
THey gave me a picture that says The lord will guide you always.Your remembering your childhood and pulling Bonnie and Clydeout of a mud puddle was so fun to hear!

The Old Man on Monday finally made it on a Monday.  One of the dearest friends I’ve ever had!  His helpful, caring Christian attitude made friends  wherever he went.  God’s heavenly choir certainly gained a great voice!  Ruth
