He was born in Norton, Kansas, in 1936 to Jeanette and Jerry Rickey. Jack was an avid sports fan, especially for his hometown teams, the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, and Denver Broncos. Jack was a veteran of the US Air Force, a successful business owner, and devout to his Lutheran faith.
Jack was preceded in death by his son Randy Rickey and is survived by his wife Patsy Rickey, sister Tomlyn Brandon, children Renee Kuntz and Rhonda Erickson, stepchildren Natalie Otteson, Lorie Rubio, Stephanie Donaldson, and Stephania Elkins, 21 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Jack will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM with a visitation held one hour prior and reception to follow. Burial will take place at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery.
